사주란? · WHAT IS SAJU

What is Korean
Saju?

Saju (四柱) is Korea's traditional way of reading your life energy from the exact moment you were born — like a personality map written in the sky.

The Basics 사주 기초
Saju = "Four Pillars" (사주)

"Sa-ju" literally means four pillars. Your birth year, month, day, and hour each become one pillar. Together they form a snapshot of the energy present when you arrived — the foundation of who you are. It's a cousin of Chinese BaZi, shaped by Korean tradition.

Why birth date & time matter

Each pillar is built from your birth date and time, so the more precise your time, the more detailed your chart — especially the Hour pillar. We even adjust your time to true solar time using your birth city, since clocks and the real sun don't always agree. Don't know your time? No worries — a strong reading still comes from your date.

Your Day Master (일간)

One special part of your chart — the Day Master — is treated as the core "you". Think of it as your main character: everything else in the chart describes how the world and other energies interact with that core self.

The Five Elements (오행)

Every chart is woven from five elements, each with its own flavor. Most people lean strong in some and light in others — and that balance is what shapes your tendencies.

Wood · growth Fire · passion Earth · stability Metal · clarity Water · depth
How we read it

We calculate your pillars and elements the traditional way, then explain them in plain, modern language. Our readings talk about tendencies, possibilities, timing and self-understanding — never fixed fate. Think of it as a friendly coach helping you know yourself, not a verdict on your future.
